On the backdrop of migration scenarios the UD program of the ADIP program investigated diverse housing typologies from international context.
Under the categories ’solitaire’, ‚cluster‘ and ’street&courtyard’ exemplerary references cases were assembled that would then in a further step inform the design process.
In relation to sociological studies (accompanied by Prof. Martina Löw), selected qualities of the typology were transferred to new project developments in the periphery of Berlin.
By mixing and hybridizing the reference typologies into new spatial arrangements, the specific characteristics of housing models were assembled for the development of new urban identities.
