Living beings and space have a reciprocal relationship. Life is confined by space, yet life simultaneously alters space. We humans are the only species that has made its own habitat inhabitable. We have changed our environments in ways in which they have become toxic for ourselves. Problems of air pollution, waste disposal and resource depletion have created deadly living conditions for living beings, especially in areas of high population density.
These failures have created increasingly difficult environments for future generations and will confront them with new challenges arising from our current mishandling of the Anthropocene. Future generations will need new skills and different perspectives to sur- vive the human epoch.
A new educational program needs to be established to not only teach students how to read, write and calculate but foremost the interrelations of their existence on this planet.
